Description


E. coli
DNA ligase catalyzes the formation of a phosphodiester bond between an adjacent 5' phosphate and a 3' hydroxyl of DNA ends. The enzyme can be used for the ligation of double standed DNA containing cohesive ends. It should not be used for blunt end ligation and nick sealing.
