CnT-Prime Fibroblast is a 1% serum medium that delivers improved isolation efficiency and proliferation rate of human and animal fibroblasts in comparison with tr
ADI
tional 10% serum media. It was developed using human tissue, but may also be used with other species (e.g. mouse).
The reduction to a 1% serum medium is achieved through the addition of a range of fully defined growth factors and co-factors to improve their binding to cell surface receptors.

It can easily be upgraded for clinical applications by replacing the FCS with human serum. Contact us at scientist@

tional CnT-05 (10% serum) medium. Cells were grown on standard tissue culture plastic, passaged with accutase, and seeded at 1’000 cells per sq. cm.

Test samples (#CnT-PR-F-SAMPLE) are now available for testing.

For induction of other cell behaviours such as ECM secretion, the CnT-PR-ECM medium is recommended.

CnT-Prime Fibroblast Medium
CnT-Prime Fibroblast Medium is a highly refined medium for fibroblast culture. It uses an advanced basal medium supplemented with a range of growth factors, thereby reducing the serum requirement down to 1%.

Storage / Shelf life
Store frozen below -15

C. For best before date, see label. To prepare medium for use, it is preferable to thaw overnight at 4
o
C. Alternatively, medium may be thawed at room temperature for approx 5-6 hours. If thawing at room temperature, ensure contents do not rise above 12
o
C at the end of the thawing process. Once thawed, medium has a remaining shelf-life of 6-weeks when stored at 4
o
C in the dark. Certain culture media components are very sensitive to light. Minimize light exposure at all times.
Quality control
Media composition is tested via osmolality, pH and the concentration of various ions. Media functionality is tested by evaluating growth and morphology or primary human fibroblasts over at least 2 passags. Free of bacteria, fungi and mycoplasma contamination.

Medium is shipped frozen.
