Cord blood CD133+ cells are isolated using direct positive immunomagnetic selection for CD133+ cells. The majority of CD133+ cells also express CD34. CD133 is a glycoprotein with sub-cellular localization in plasma membrane protrusions. In humans, this protein was originally identified as an antigenic
