Glioblastoma

Glioblastomas are tumours of the brain that arise from Astrocytes. These tumours are highly vascularised and are often highly malignant. They do not however metastasize outside of the brain. Glioblastoma is more prevalent in the over 50s age group and has a higher incidence in men.

ly cultured in their current state or reprogrammed to induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and differentiated to astrocytes or other cell types.

Here at Axol Bioscience we can offer a Reprogramming and Differentiation service, as part of our Custom Projects.

We can reprogram these Dermal Fibroblasts to iPSCs and differentiate them into a variety of neural cell types to assist you with your research.

All of the cells provided are tested and are negative for HIV-1, HIV-2, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C as detected by PCR.

The cells are confirmed to be negative for mycoplasma and other detectable microbial contamination.
