Legg-Calvé-Perthes Disease

Legg-Calvé-Perthes Disease (LCPD)
, also commonly known as simply Perthes Disease, is a temporary childhood disorder that effects the vasculature of the femoral head. Poor blood supply to the top of the femur results in osteonecrosis of the local area and bone weakness that often causes multiple fractures and deformation. The cause of LCPD is widely debated with numerous theories put forward such as anticoagulants in the blood and other blood factors having an active role in the disease progression.
Here at Axol Bioscience we can offer a reprogramming and differentiation service, as part of our Custom Projects. We can provide you with a variety of cells that have been derived from these Fibroblasts (Legg-Calvé-Perthes Disease) to assist with your research and save you time and money.

All of the cells provided are tested and are negative for HIV-1, HIV-2, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C as detected by PCR.
