Similar to Phos 1?, Phos 2? can be excited 300-400 nm, with λ
ABS
Max ≈ 325 nm in Glycerol. Phos 2? is less water soluble than Phos 1? and is cationic, making ideal to bind to negatively charged surfaces such proteins or nanoparticles. Phos 2? has a lifetime of 93 ± 0.4 ?S in glycerol.
Phos 2? is sold dry and is simply reconstituted by adding water/MeOH/EtOH and/or buffer. One vial of this Phosphorescent probe will typically allow for 10 measurements to be undertaken, when further diluted into 3 cm

volumes within a cuvette.
For optimum performance, probe vials should be stored at -2 to -8 °C when not being used. Probe solutions should be used after dilution.
