pOET1 is a baculovirus transfer vector designed for high levelexpression of foreign genes under the powerful AcMNPVpolyhedron (polh) promoter. The vector is smaller than otheravailable transfer vectors (4541bp) which greatly facilitate thecloning steps. It has a bacterial origin of replication and anampicillin resistance gene for selection in E. coli. The polhsequences have been replaced by a multiple cloning sitecontaining 14 unique restriction sites for insertion of the foreigngene in the correct orientation. The AcMNPV sequences flankingthe gene in the transfer vectors MCS allow recombination with theviral DNA to insert the expression cassette into the polh locus.pOET1 is compat
